Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molten metal filtration and storage tank and its lining brick which are capable of preventing oxidation of upper bricks while preventing spalling, easy to peel the adhered molten metal, and capable of being easily manufactured.
SOLUTION: In a molten metal filtration and storage tank, a metallic filter unit 16 in which a plurality of tubular porous filtering materials are fixed between side plates 17, 18 opposite to each other is stored in a storage tank whose inner side is formed of lining bricks 3. A part of lower bricks 3b in contact with the molten metal is formed of Si3N4-SiC lining bricks having no SiO2 film to secure the corrosion resistance while a part of upper bricks 3a not in contact with the molten metal is formed of Si2N4-SiC lining bricks having SiO2 film to prevent oxidation.
