Abstract:
To provide a molten metal production facility in which a connection member for connecting different wire rods continuously fed to molten metal can be reliably detected.SOLUTION: A wire rod W has a first wire rod W1 added to molten metal F in a ladle 10 and a second wire rod W2 whose front end is connected to the rear end of the first wire rod W1 via a connection member C. A molten metal production facility includes the wire rod W, a wire feeding device 1 for feeding the wire rod W, and a magnetic detection device 2 which is positioned in a path Q where the wire rod W is fed and detects a magnetic material in the connection member C.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
