Abstract:
To provide a molten metal supply apparatus which ensures cleaning work efficiency in a duct, enables level fluctuation of a molten metal in the duct to be increased, and prevents extreme reduction of the flow rate of molten metal to be discharged from an outlet of the duct.
In the molten metal supply apparatus for supplying a molten metal 12 to a conveying destination through a duct 1, a cylindrical adapter 15 for decreasing the inside diameter of the duct is detachably fitted in an outlet of the duct 1. The adapter 15 can fill a space between the duct 1 and itself. In order to facilitate the attachment/detachment, the adapter is fitted in the duct 1 with a heat-resistant packing 18 being wound around the outer circumference of the adapter.
