Abstract:

To allow an operator to quickly notice a storage error and immediately try again.

A storage 1 includes a body 1a and drawers 11, 12, 13 mounted to the body such that each can be longitudinally and manually pulled out. Each of the drawers is provided with a plurality of money bar storage units each capable of storing one roll of money bar coins B of a specific denomination. A lock means is provided which performs locking action to prevent the drawer from being pulled out of the closed position when the drawer is pushed in. On the basis of the longitudinal displacements of the drawers 11, 12, 13 identified from the output of the rotary encoder E and on the output of an optical diameter sensor S1, determinations are made as to the presence/absence and the denomination of the money bar coins B stored in each storage unit of the drawer. The lock means is controlled so that, when there is a storage unit for which the result of the determination does not match a denomination previously stored in a storage means, the locking action is not performed.
