To provide a money paying system giving money paying service to a customer even if money paying transaction exists when money cannot be paid by recording a paying amount, issuing a medium being the substitution of cash at the time of money paying transaction when money cannot be paid and installing a processing means permitting payment or cashing by means of the medium in a cash registration terminal installed in a store.

ECR 12 is installed in a counter that the clerk of a store 10 service-processes and an automatic transaction device 13 is installed at one corner of the store 10. A money paying system is constituted of the automatic transaction device 13 and ECR 12. If money paying transaction is executed when money cannot be paid owing to few paper money and the jamming of paper money, the automatic transaction device 13 issues a card 14 where a money paying amount is recorded and a commodity can be purchased or cashing can be executed by using the card 14. Thus, money paying service can be supplied to the customer even if the automatic transaction device 13 cannot pay money.
