To reduce the effort and time required to exchange money, when the deposited money is a deformed money.SOLUTION: The invention includes a money storage unit for storing normal money, a data acquisition unit for acquiring data as a judgment standard of money denomination and deformation on a transport route to the money storage unit, a sorting unit that separates the deformed money obtained by deformation of the normal money into a deformed money storage unit, a reject unit that discharges abnormal money that could not be identified as a denomination of the normal money, money identification means for identifying denominations of the normal money and for identifying the deformed money based on the data acquired by the data acquisition unit for the money on the transport route, and sorting means for controlling the sorting unit to send the deformed money identified by the money identification means to the deformed money storage unit when the deformed money storage unit is not full of the deformed money, and controlling the reject unit to discharge the deformed money identified by the money identification means when the deformed money storage unit is full of the deformed money.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
