PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin processing apparatus capable of shortening a processing waiting time of a user.SOLUTION: The coin processing apparatus includes a control unit that, in the case where the total value of a money amount of each denomination of a distribution unit 62 and a money amount of each denomination in storage categorization units 81a to 81f of a first storage unit 81 exceeds a distribution set value, stores money of the distribution unit 62 in a second storage unit 71, and in the case where the total value of the money amount of each denomination of the distribution unit 62 and the money amount of each denomination in the storage categorization units 81a to 81f of the first storage unit 81 is smaller than or equal to the distribution set value, stores money of the distribution unit 62 in the first storage unit 81.
