Title:
MONITERING METHOD, REAGENT, AND TEST KIT FOR MONITORING NCA-BT IN BLOOD SAMPLE OF BREAST CANCER PATIENT.
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3258407
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To monitor the progress or stage of the disease of a patient by measuring the NCA-BT level of a blood sample by performing a series of specific immunoassay for a certain period.
CONSTITUTION: Of the nonspecific cross-reacting antigens (NCA) in blood, the change of the NCA-BT level becomes a means for monitoring the progress of the disease of a breast cancer patient. The increase of the NCA-BT level in blood measured by performing a series of specific immunoassay over a certain period indicates worsening states in a significant number of patients and, on the other hand, the decrease of the NCA-BT level in blood indicates improved state in such patients. The measurement of the NCA-BT level is performed by performing sandwich immunoassay using two reagents for antibody of one reagent which is specific to BCA-BT and another reagent which can be coupled specifically or nonspecifically with NCA-BT.
