To strength a security system by arranging a control means for arranging an identification card having a memory, a card holder, a display means, and displaying selected information read from the memory of the cased on the display means.
A security badge 10 has a card holder 12 to receive an identification card formed of an IC card 14 therein. The card 14 has a memory and a processing means, a photograph 16 of a person to be identified together with a person's name laminated on region 18, and relative information such as a job name described thereon. The holder 12 has a receiving slot having a card reader. When the card 14 is received in the holder 12, circuit elements of the holder 12 and the card 14 communicate with each other. The holder 12 has a display 20 such as an LCD display, and a solar cell 22 for supplying power to the elements of the holder 12 and the card 14.
