Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring control system capable of obtaining information from a controller at a field plant from a remote place without disposing a new device.SOLUTION: An HMI 4 has a gateway server 13 and a transmission management middleware 12 installed therein to monitor and control a field plant. The HMI 4 installs an engineering tool 11 and a gateway client 14 in a general-purpose personal computer 2 connected via an information LAN 7. The engineering tool 11 uses the transmission management middleware 12 via a gateway client 14 and a gateway server 13 so that the HMI 4 acquires information from the controller 5 connected via the control network 6.
