Abstract:
To provide a simple monitoring device for certainly monitoring breakage or stoppage of a fiber sliver in a short time.
The monitoring device for monitoring at least one moving fiber sliver in a drafting system of textile machine, for example, draw frame, carding machine, and comber, using a monitoring element located by contacting the moving fiber sliver, arranged in the vicinity of or within a device for feeding at least one fiber sliver, wherein the monitoring element (12) for the fiber slivers (7, 7a-7f) comprises a deflecting element (12b, 12b1-12b6) arranged to be deflected by the tensioned fiber slivers (7, 7a-7f) and makes the deflecting element initiate a switching operation upon loss of tension of the fiber slivers (7, 7a-7f).
