Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply superintend a pressure limiting valve at low costs by controlling a pressure control means in a fixed operating condition, connecting the high pressure territory to the low pressure territory through the pressure limiting valve in the non-error condition, and evaluating the pressure of the high pressure territory for discriminating an error.
SOLUTION: The discharge side of a discharge pump 110 connected to a fuel tank 100 is connected to a fuel rail 130 connected with injectors 131,... through a valve 120, a high pressure pump 125, and the like. Further a pressure regulator valve 135 and a pressure limiting valve 145 are interposed on a pair of parallel pipe lines discharging surplus fuel from the fuel rail 130 to the tank 100, and the pressure of a high pressure territory between the high pressure pump 125 and the pressure regulator valve 135 is detected by a sensor 150. When the internal combustion engine is changed to be cut off, the pressure is raised till response of the pressure limiting valve 145, and when the pressure of the pressure limiting valve 145 exceeds a fixed value at pressure drop thereafter, it is judged to generate obstruction, and shifted to a emergent running mode.
