To provide a monitoring and notifying controller with which monitoring and notification control is enabled in comparatively inexpensive configuration without changing a main body device and a display/input device.

A monitoring and notification controller 7 always fetches data transmitted from a main body device 1 to an input/display device 5 through a display data fetch circuit 71. The fetched data of a monitoring object are compared and collated with a predetermined threshold value by a data analysis/ threshold value managing circuit 72 so that it can be discriminated whether any specified event is generated at the main body device or not. When the generation of any specified event is discriminated, it is reported through a line connected circuit 73 to a distant place. When there is a call from a distant place through the line connection circuit 73, according to the data analysis/ threshold managing circuit and program 72, a changeover switch 74 is switched from the input/display device side to the distant place side and the main body device is controlled from the distant place.
