A monitoring camera terminal 1 switches an operation mode of a terminal body among a standby mode of stopping an imaging part, an object detection part and an object tracking part, an object detection mode of operating the object detection part and stopping the object tracking part, and an object tracking mode of operating the imaging part and the object tracking part. The monitoring camera terminal 1 mutually transmits and receives tracking information indicating movement of an object tracked in a monitoring area to/from another monitoring camera terminal, in a communication part 16. The monitoring camera terminal 1 switches the operation mode of the terminal body using the tracking information acquired from the other monitoring camera terminal in the communication part.
