To provide an image-forming device monitor system, capable of preventing overcurrent of a commercial power source, at the same time from being used and reducing useless power, even when a plurality of image forming devices are connected to one and the same commercial power source.
The image forming device monitor system is provided with a plurality of image forming devices, connected to a network and having a normal mode for performing normal operation and energy-saving mode for reducing using power, more than in the normal mode to switch the normal mode and the energy-saving mode, in accordance with an instruction from the outside, and a monitoring device for monitoring the image forming devices via the network, instructing the image forming devices in the normal mode to shift to the energy-saving mode, and instructing the plurality of image forming devices in the energy-saving mode to release the energy saving mode so as to make the shifting time of each image forming device from the energy saving mode to the normal mode different.
