Abstract:
To provide a monitoring system which improves safety of works making use of a track maintenance vehicle, while suppressing increases of equipment costs and labors.SOLUTION: A monitoring system for a track maintenance vehicle of a railway comprises a camera detachably constituted and installed in a rear part of the rearmost car of freight cars connected to the track maintenance vehicle and a picture display device displaying pictures taken by the camera on a picture display part. The camera has a first communication part and the picture display device has a second communication part to connect with the first communication part as a radio LAN communication of one to one correspondence. Picture data taken by the camera are sent to the picture display device via the first and the second communication parts.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
