PURPOSE: To obtain the titled antibody having specificity to leukemia cell, by administering a humand adult T-cell leukemia cell to a mammal, fusing an antibody-producing cell of the mamal to a myeloma cell, and cloning the hybridoma producing an anti-ATL cell antibody.
CONSTITUTION: A mammal is immunized with a human adult T-cell leukemia cell (ATL cell), and the obtained antibody-producing cell is fused with a myeloma cell. A hybridoma producing an anti-ATL cell antibody is selected from the formed hybridoma, and cloned by the critical dilution method to obtain a clone having strong bonding capability to ATL cell. An antibody-producing cell bonding specifically to an antigen having a molecular weight of about 110,000 existing in a leukemia cell such as ATL cell is collected from the clone, and transplanted to the abdominal cavity of a pristene-treated mouse. The monoclonal antibody produced in the ascites is separated and purified.
