To provide racket string excellent both in the durability and hitting capability relative to the conventional string, and excellent also in the stretching property, volume productivity and economic efficiency.
The monofilament for the racket string is obtained by melting and spinning the mixture of nylon resin (A) whose melting point is in the range from 180°C to 200°C and nylon resin (B) whose melting point is in the range from 200°C to 240°C, and increasing the temperature of the monofilament from the normal temperature to 300°C at the temperature raising speed of 10°C/minute by using the differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The peak temperature on the high-temperature side among a plurality of melting point peaks acquired in first measurement (first run) is in the range of the melting point of the nylon resin (B).
