To provide a monolithic organic porous article usable as an adsorbent having low pressure loss during permeating a liquid, remarkably large specific surface area, high adsorption efficiency, and large adsorption capacity, or an ion exchanger having excellent capturing performances for microparticles, to provide a monolithic organic porous ion exchanger, to provide methods for producing the organic porous article and the porous ion exchanger, and to provide a chemical filter.
The monolithic organic porous article is a continuous macroporous structure in which bubble-like macropores are mutually superimposed, and the superimposed parts become openings having 20-200 m average diameter. The thickness of the continuous macroporous structure is 1 mm. The skeletal part of the continuous macroporous structure is composed of an inner layer part and a surface layer part of a porous structure. The method for producing the organic porous article and the chemical filter are provided.
