Title:
MONOPULSE ANTENNA
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5866403
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To set an angle range for detection of a target at a desired value, by forming an array antenna with two element antenna groups instead of a reflector and deflecting the radiated beam with control of the phase distribution of each antenna group.

CONSTITUTION: An array antenna is formed with the 1st and the 2nd element antennas e1, e2... and f1, f2.... These 1st and 2nd element antennas are connected to phase shifters g1 and g2. and then to a hybrid circuit 4 which delivers an addition signal Σ and a subtraction signal via synthesizing circuits 8 and 9 which synthesize the input signals supplied from the antennas f1 and f2. Thus each phase can be optionally set for each element antenna group since it is connected to the phase shifter. As a result, the deflecting angle can be optionally set.
