Title:
BUFFER DEVICE FOR PREVENTING BRIDGE FROM FALLING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3153205
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a buffer device for preventing a bridge from falling which not only shows a buffer action when a shock acts in the direction of a tensile horizontal force but also does not concentrate stresses on a connection rod even when a force is applied in the direction to convert the angle of the connection rod.
SOLUTION: This buffer device 1 for preventing a bridge from falling is constituted of a buffer plate 11 which the end of a connection rod 13 fixed to the end of a bridge girder through a bracket 2 penetrates, a bearing plate attached to the external end 13a of the penetrating connection rod 13, and a spring 15 interposed between the bearing plate 16 and the buffer plate 11. Even when the connection rod 13 laid across adjoining bridge girders is subjected to a shock, it is buffered by the buffer plate 11 and the spring 15 to prevent the bridge from falling. A through hole 3a is formed in the bracket 2 and a cylindrical bush 6 is provided between the through hole 3a and the connection rod 13 inserted in the through hole 3a. The inside face of the bush 6 is shaped to have a curved face 6a projecting inward.
