Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an excellent linearity over a wide input voltage range suitable for LSI configuration by driving a differential pair of an OTA (Operational Transconductance Amplifier) whose differential pair is usually driven by an output current of the square circuit and which makes linear amplification with a constant current in addition to an output of a square circuit.
CONSTITUTION: MOS differential pair transistors(TRs) M1, M2 the TR M1 of which receives an input signal form a current mirror circuit and are driven a sum of a constant current I0 and a drain current flowing to the TR M2 being one of the MOS differential TRs and being an output of a square drive circuit comprising differential pair TRs M5, M6 and M7 and M8, M9 having a bootstrap loop. Differential pair TRs M3, M4 or the like receiving an inverted input are configured similarly to above and output terminals of both the differential pair TRs are connected in common. Through the constitution above, the drive characteristic of the MOS OTA is determined by parameters of the components of the MOS OTA itself and then the MOS OTA suitable for large scale circuit integration is realized.
