Abstract:

To provide a mosquito larva generation inhibitor for a vase to enable to inhibit generation of a mosquito larva, by inserting a mosquito larva inhibiting material for a vase made of a synthetic resin sheet on which a copper ion containing substance is coated.

This mosquito larva generation inhibitor for a vase is formed by a 2mm thick polyethylene sheet with hinges with the depth of 1mm and intervals of 5mm to whose one side a 0.02mm thick copper thin plate 2 is adhered. The mosquito larva inhibitor (thin copper plate adhered sheet) is rounded smaller than the inner diameter of a vase 3 and inserted into the vase 3 so as the copper thin plate 2 to face the central part of the vase. Since the inserted inhibitor is brought into tightly contact with the inner wall of the vase by its flexibility, there is no fear to disturb inserting a flower or a tree. Though it may be preferable for the mosquito larva inhibitor to be used with the inserting depth in length from the inlet (tip of the opening) part of the vase to the bottom part, since a mosquito larva floats up to near the water surface, it is preferable that the inhibitor is inserted in the vase to 2/3 of the length of the vase from the inlet of the vase to bring the copper thin plate 2 into contact with water in the vase.
