To provide a mothproof conjugated fiber which exhibits a mothproof effect for a long period without early losing a mothproofing agent, even when repeatedly washed and used, and has excellent touch, excellent dynamical characteristics, and the like.
This mothproof conjugated fiber comprising (A) a thermoplastic polymer component containing mothproofing agent-carrying inorganic fine particles and (B) a mothproofing agent-free thermoplastic component is characterized in that: (a) the thermoplastic polymer component (A) occupies ≥50% of the surface of the mothproof conjugate fiber; (b) the mothproofing agent-carrying inorganic fine particles have an average particle diameter of 0.01 to 10 μm and a specific surface area of 60 to 500 m2/g; (c) the content of the mothproofing agent-carrying inorganic fine particles is 0.01 to 10 wt.% based on the thermoplastic polymer constituting the thermoplastic polymer component (A); and (d) a relation of Td-Tp≥20°C is established between the melting point (Tp) of the thermoplastic polymer constituting the thermoplastic polymer component (A) and the decomposition-initiating temperature (Td) of the mothproofing agent.
