An air bearing 12 is constituted as a radial bearing, and it is extended over the length in the axial direction corresponding to a bearing sleeve 11. An air channel 14 goes out of a connecting channel 15, the air channel 14 is led to a connecting channel 13 supplying air fed from the outside to the whole air bearing 12. In this case, it is important that the air bearing 12 has a helical construction, when a rotor drum 9 is rotated, air is automatically drawn in by the groove through the connecting channel 13, and air can be fed in the air bearing 12 in a pressurized state. In this way, an automatically holding type air bearing 12 capable of obtaining rigidity corresponding to high speed is obtained.
