Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor connection detection device capable of precisely detecting connection abnormality such as connector disconnection, wire breaking of a harness and motor winding targeting a bipolar type stepping motor.SOLUTION: A motor connection detection device consists of: a driver 501 controlling a current to be supplied to a motor 502; and a control part 500 which consists, as connection constitution between the motor 502 and the driver 501, a circuit of resistances 503, 504 and a smoothing capacitor 505 inserted between motor winding and ground corresponding to output terminals OUT1B, OUT2B of the driver 501 and a circuit of resistances 506, 507 and a smoothing capacitor 508, and has voltage detecting means of detecting a voltage generated with a regenerative current in a motor ON state in which a current flows to the motor 502 and determination means of determining connection abnormality of the motor 502 on the basis of the detected voltage, the determination means determining the connection abnormality of the motor 502 on the basis of a voltage generated in a first decay period associated with a current attenuation system for the regenerative current.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
