Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor control circuit and an electronic timepiece with which it is possible to reduce dependency on software processing and drive a motor more accurately.SOLUTION: A motor control circuit 7 drives a plurality of stepping motors separately in time. This motor control circuit 7 has, for each stepping motor, a timer register 74 for counting the drive cycles of the stepping motor and then stopping, and an enable register 71 for enabling the drive of the stepping motor. This motor control circuit 7 further has a priority processing unit 72 which includes a queue for determining an order in which each stepping motor is driven, and which, when one of the stepping motors is enabled to be driven and the timer register 74 pertaining to this stepping motor remains idle, adds an enable signal for this stepping motor to the queue.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
