To provide a motor control circuit, including a motor protection circuit, which is formed in a simplified structure using few number of structural elements and moreover low price structural elements.
This motor control circuit includes a motor 1, a current detection resistor 4 connected in series to the motor 1, a serial circuit of an operation switch connected between a power supply 10 and the reference potential point, a switching element 6 and a relay coil 7 and a bias circuit 8 for supplying a bias voltage to the switching element 6. The bias circuit 8 includes a temperature-dependent resistor 81 which is arranged in the vicinity of the current detection resistor 4, and when the operation switch 5 is turned on, the switching element 6 turns on, to activate the relay coil 7 and to switch a relay contact 3 to drive the motor 1. When the motor 1 is driven, an overcurrent flows into the current detection resistor 4, and the temperature dependent resistor 81 detects irregular temperature of the current detection resistor 4 which changes its resistance value, the switching element 6 is turned off through the bias circuit 8 to stop the drive of motor 1.
