Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor control device that can prevent incorrect detection of abnormality in an encoder.SOLUTION: A motor control device controls the drive of a motor connected to an object, and includes rotation detection means for detecting the rotation of the motor and outputting detection signals, counting means for acquiring the detection signals and counting the number of pulses, and abnormality detection means for acquiring count values from the counting means at predetermined intervals, calculating the differences between the count values and the count values acquired previously thereto, and detecting, if the differences are consecutively below a predetermined value, abnormality in the rotation detection means.
