Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a motor driving circuit from being damaged due to the reverse connection of a power supply.
SOLUTION: A relay interposed between a motor 1 and a power supply, is normally in a condition that the motor 1 is cut off from the power supply. A control circuit 7 determines the rotating direction of the motor 1 based on the operating condition of a P/W switch 10 so as to output either one of an UP signal or a DOWN signal. The relay 2 is thereby actuated by the output signal, and its contact is changed over to a contact corresponding to the signal so as to be connected with the power supply of the motor 1. In a case that the motor 1 is rotated to the direction that a window is closed, interleaving detection by means of motor current is performed by an interleaving detection circuit 11, and concurrently, a driving FET 3 permits current flowing to the motor 1 to be gradually increased at the time of starting based on a PWM signal outputted by the control circuit 7. And when the control circuit 7 is interleaved, the motor is reversed in rotation so as to be controlled. By this constitution, when the polarity of the power supply is reversely connected, the control circuit 7 will never be actuated because of the function of a diode 6, the relay 2 stays in a normal condition, and the FET 3 can thereby be prevented from being damaged.
