To provide a motor control device that can precisely protect a motor from being burnt out irrespective of a secular change, an installation atmosphere of a product, or the like, and can easily adjust a parameter for calculating an estimated temperature of the motor.
A power window device 1 comprises the motor 20 driven by energization to a winding 20a; and a control unit 3 that drive-controls the motor 20, calculates an estimated temperature of the winding, and protects the motor from being burnt out. A controller 31 of the control unit 3 comprises an estimated temperature storage means; a temperature rise value calculation means that calculates a temperature rise value of the estimated temperature according to an operation condition at the energization; and an estimated temperature update means that updates the estimated temperature, by adding the temperature rise value calculated by the temperature rise value calculation means to the estimated temperature stored in the estimated temperature storage means. The temperature rise value calculation means has a plurality of temperature rise value calculation formulae for calculating the temperature rise values, and calculates an optimum temperature rise value according to the operation condition by using the plurality of calculation formulae.
