The motor control device includes a power control unit 100 which sets a larger upper limit leading angle θa_lmt, which is the upper limit of a current leading angle, as an output voltage Vpin from a battery 60 lowers, and an upper limit output setting unit 40 which sets a smaller upper limit output power of the motor 70 as the output voltage Vpin from the battery 60 lowers and sets an upper limit torque Tr_lmt corresponding to the upper limit output power and the rotation speed MOT_rpm of the motor 70, and a controller 1 which generates control signals UH, UL, VH, VL, WH, and WL to a PDU 50 so that the current leading angle does not exceed the upper limit leading angle θa_lmt and an output torque of the motor 70 does not exceed the upper limit torque Tr_lmt.
