Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of times that a reference position is learned in a system in which a motor is driven to rotate on the basis of the output signal of an encoder.SOLUTION: An encoder counter 32 is provided that counts the output signal of an encoder 18 during a period in which an SBW-ECU 12 is in a sleep state. The SBW-ECU 12 enters a sleep state a prescribed time (a time needed for the rotation position of a motor 13 to become stable) after the rotation drive of the motor 13 is terminated. When the amount of change in the count value of the encoder counter 32 during the period of the sleep state is smaller than a prescribed value, the SBW-ECU 12 does not execute a learning process in which a reference position is learned at the time a wakeup state (start state) returns. When the amount of change in the count value of the encoder counter 32 during the period of the sleep state is equal to or greater than the prescribed value, the SBW-ECU 12 executes the learning process at the time the wakeup state returns.
