Abstract:

PURPOSE: To automatically regeneratively brake in the case of accelerator OFF with a DC series motor as a power source.

CONSTITUTION: An exciting coil 92 and an armature coil 91 are connected in series via a diode bridge 7. A DC power source B is connected to the bridge 7 via an FET 3, and a current of a predetermined direction is fed to the coils 92, 91 by the rectifying operation of the bridge 7. A controller 10 repeats the operation of turning ON, OFF the FET 3 by PWM control to supply current from the source B to the coils 91, 92 and the operation of consuming electric energy stored in the coil 92, thereby applying a drive force to the armature. When an accelerator OFF is detected, the operation of turning ON, OFF an FET 4, closing or opening a circuit including the coils 91, 92 to consume the current induced in the coil 91, and the operation of returning the current to the source B are repeated.
