The motor controller controls a motor with a brush that is driven so that unidirectional load may be larger than reverse rotating load. The motor controller includes upper and lower arms, which are constituted by a plurality of switching elements being connected in series, and an H-type bridge circuit part, which constitutes by connecting two sets of upper and lower arms in parallel and in which the motor is electrically connected to the junction between each phase of upper arm and lower arm. A switching element applicable to a current path in a specified direction is set to an element of current capacity different from those of other switching elements.
