PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller which starts a load smoothly without causing an overshoot and, further, starts the motion of the load in a short time after the starting operation.
SOLUTION: A driving speed is detected by a detected speed operation unit 11 in accordance with time intervals of position detection signals which are generated with respective certain distance movements of a load during the operation of a motor unit 2 which drives the load. Until a 1st position detection signal is detected since the start is commanded, a command is given to a driving unit 6 so as to have the speed of the motor unit increased following a lapse of time with a relatively large increase rate. Until a 2nd position detection signal is detected since then, a command is given to the driving unit 6 so as to have the speed of the motor unit increased following a lapse of time with a relatively small increase rate. After the 2nd position detection signal since the start command is generated, an operation control unit 10 gives a command to the driving unit 6 so as to have a small difference between the command speed given by a command speed generating unit 12 and the detected speed reduced.
