Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accelerate smoothly a brushless DC motor which rotationally drives a varying load with a small starting current.
SOLUTION: Before the start of a brushless DC motor 1, a voltage is applied to the motor 1 under the control of a voltage control circuit 7 to the extent that the crest of a load comprising a reciprocating compressor is not exceeded, and thereby the motor is rotated in reverse. If the motor 1 idles and stops before the crest, the motor 1 is synchronously started in the forward direction in this stop position.
