Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a motor controller, to reduce its cost, and to make its maintenance easy by highly accurately grasping the position of a rotor of a motor with a simple structure without using a position sensor for the rotor.
SOLUTION: The position of the rotor of the motor is presumed by impressing pulses that synchronize with the PWM cycle of an inverter 2, and that correspond to the positional presumed value of the rotor of the motor to a motor 1 as a PWM pattern, and as its result by detecting the different of magnetic resistance of the rotor of the motor that can be presumed as a result of observation of the rate of change with time of d-axis current and q-axis current on dq-axis coordinates of a current flowing in the windings of the motor 1.
