Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a motor from being tripped, when the motor is in acceleration/deceleration state and improve an operation efficiency.
SOLUTION: The heat storage capacity of a motor from a past state a certain time prior to a present state is continuously monitored with a heat storage capacity monitoring means. The amount of heat which is generated by the motor, when the motor is accelerated from the present operation velocity to a rated velocity or decelerated from the present operation velocity to a zero velocity, is estimated. When a Pw of the present heat capacity of the motor and the estimated heat capacity at the time of acceleration/deceleration exceeds a predetermined load reference value Pr, the motor is so controlled as to forcibly keep the present speed. With this constitution, overload tripping can be prevented, and the efficiency of a work using the motor as a prime mover can be improved as a whole.
