To provide a brush-holding DC motor or a brushless DC motor controlling device along with a voltage-raising means and the concept of miniaturized structure.
This motor controlling device is structured with voltage-raising means (L2, Q1, D1, C2) that raise a power source voltage and supply it to a driving circuit, and a control means 10 that stops the operation of the voltage-raising means until the time when a transient period finishes, a time when a motor current and motor revolutions are stabilized at the initial stage of motor rotation, and that starts the operation of the voltage-raising means after the time when the transient period finishes. This motor controlling device is structured with the voltage-raising means (L2, Q1, D1, C2), and the control means 10 that stops the operation of the voltage-raising means when the motor is stopped to reverse the direction of a current made to flow in the motor.
