Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor control apparatus capable of continuously controlling a discharge amount of cooling water from a water pump.SOLUTION: A position detection circuit 116 converts induction voltage generated in a non-energized phase of a motor body 118 for driving a pump 130 into a pulse signal. A microcomputer 110 calculates a position of a rotor from a signal converted as the pulse signal and controls an inverter circuit 114 through a pre-driver 112 so as to intermittently perform reverse rotation and continuously perform reverse rotation, low-speed positive rotation and high-speed positive rotation of the motor body 118 in accordance with the position of the rotor. Further, the microcomputer 110 controls the inverter circuit 114 so that when performing low-speed positive rotation of the motor body 118, a coil of one phase out of coils of three phases of the motor body 118 is turned to a non-energized state in accordance with the calculated rotor position, and a current is supplied from one coil out of coils of two phases to the other coil and then a current is supplied from the other coil to the one coil.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
