Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a given constant torque, by controlling a motor current with high response, even if a motor speed is shifted with respect to an electric drive unit for driving a driven wheel with a dc motor in a vehicle.
SOLUTION: A target PWM value for feeding a necessary target current in a motor stopped state according to demand output torque of a DC motor is calculated (step 1), and a rotation compensating PWM value for compensating the counter electromotive force caused at motor rotation is calculated (step 2). A command PWM value is calculated (step 3) by adding the target PWM value and the rotation compensating PWM value. Then, a PWM signal with a pulse width corresponding to the command PWM value is output (step 4) so that the power to a DC motor is controlled through a PWM method.
