Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor drive circuit, which includes a current-limiting resistor, that has reduced cost for maintenance and has an overcurrent protection function applicable to various power sources, motors, and limiting resistors.SOLUTION: A motor drive circuit comprises an overcurrent protection section and an overcurrent detection section. The overcurrent protection section stops the supply of a drive power source to a motor, or has an overcurrent protection function that reduces a voltage of the drive power source. The overcurrent detection section has voltage-dividing means and switch means. The voltage-dividing means is connected to a current-limiting resistor, generates a switch voltage obtained by dividing a voltage applied to the current-limiting resistor by a predetermined ratio, and inputs the switch voltage to the switch means. The switch means causes the overcurrent protection function of the overcurrent protection section to operate when the inputted switch voltage is larger than or equal to a reference switch voltage.
