In the motor drive control device which includes a motor voltage/current detector, a position detector for detecting a rotor rough position, and the rotor position estimation portion for estimating the rotor position and the angle velocity on the basis of the voltage/current and the rotor rough position, and which controls a vector on the basis of the estimated rotor position and the angle velocity, and command value, the rotor position estimation portion is constituted by an angular velocity calculating potion for calculating the angle velocity on the basis of each phase counter electromotive voltage, an electrical angle calculating portion for calculating the electrical angle of the rotor on the basis of the angular velocity, a rotor phase detecting portion for detecting a rotor phase on the basis of the rotor rough position, a correction resistor calculating portion for calculating the correction resistor of each phase on the basis of the angle error of the electrical angle and the rotor phase, and the motor current, and a multiplication portion for multiplying the output of a motor model and the output of the correction resistor calculating portion.
