Abstract:
To provide a motor drive device which can reliably actuate even a drive mechanism with a relatively large drive load.SOLUTION: A motor drive device includes a rotor 3 where a magnet 2 is subjected to multipolar magnetization in the hoop direction, a yoke 6 placed oppositely to the outer peripheral surface of the magnet 2, a coil 4 for exciting the yoke 6 by electrification, a yoke 7 placed oppositely to the outer peripheral surface of the magnet 2 at a position deviated from the yoke 6 by substantially 90 degrees of electrical angle, a coil 5 for magnetizing the yoke 7 by electrification, magnetic sensors 8-11 for detecting the rotational position of the rotor 3, and control means 13 for driving the rotor 3 while changing over the poles to be excited by the yokes 6, 7 by changing over the electrification direction of the coils 4, 5 on the basis of the outputs from magnetic sensors 8-11, and when actuating the rotor 3 from stopping state, actuating the rotor 3 after moving the rotor by performing DC electrification.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
