Abstract:
To provide a motor drive device which can be used in the same way for stepping motors having different numbers of phases.SOLUTION: An FPGA (40) provided on a motor drive device (10) according to the present invention includes address counters (61a-61e) which are provided corresponding to output terminals (11), a ROM (72) in which data on current reference values expressed by "i×sinθ" is stored within the range of 0°≤θ<360°, current reference value registers (73a-73e) in which current reference values corresponding to addresses are stored, for the respective output terminals (11), from the ROM (72), a triangular wave generating unit (41), and a plurality of PWM processing units (91a-91e) which output PWM control signals for the respective output terminals (11) by using the current reference value, a current detection value, and a triangular wave. Each of the output terminals (11) outputs currents the current values of which are different at a ratio corresponding to the phase difference in sine waves on the basis PWM control signals.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
