Abstract:
To provide a motor drive device in which abnormality of a dynamic brake circuit is detected.SOLUTION: A motor drive device 1 comprises: a converter 11; an inverter 12; a DC link capacitor 13; a dynamic brake circuit 20 that has a resistor 21 and a switch 22 provided between terminals of a motor 3, controls the switch 22 to an opening state to open between the terminals of the motor 3 at driving the motor 3, controls the switch 22 to a closing state to short-circuit between the terminals of the motor 3 via the resistor 21 and thereby brake the motor 3 at stopping the motor 3; current detectors 41 and 42 that detect a drive current of the motor 3; and an abnormality detection unit 30 that detects abnormality of the dynamic brake circuit 20 at driving the motor 3 on the basis of an inclination of a rising or falling of the drive current of the motor 3 detected by the current detectors 41 and 42.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
