In the structural member 80 that integrally supports the motor 60, the inverter 50 and the differential reduction gear 70, the inverter 50 that does not receive a mechanical reaction force is arranged outside the structural member 80, and a bearing of a right drive shaft 20 that receives the mechanical reaction force is supported by a small-diameter cylinder 7a integrally formed with a right end bracket 7 of the motor 60, thus eliminating the need for turning the structural member that supports the bearing of the right drive shaft 20 from the external periphery and the end face of the inverter 50. A protection cover 26 that protects the inverter 50 can thereby be formed of a thin metal material or a resin material, and consequently the structural member 80 is reduced in weight.
