Abstract:
To provide a motor for a motor-driven compressor that materializes reduction in lowering of torque while securing corrosion resistance of a permanent magnet.
A rotor 21 of a motor 6 for a motor-driven compressor 1 includes a rotor core 23 formed by laminating magnetic steel sheets, and permanent magnets 25 provided in slots 26 of the rotor core 23. In the permanent magnet 25 being a flat plate-like member, corrosion resistant coating layers 30 for preventing corrosion are provided only at outer corner parts 25g extending in the insertion direction of the magnet to the slots 26 among corner parts between respective faces, and each of the top face 25a, a bottom face 25b, and side faces 25c-25f is at least partially exposed.
