Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent a shock at the 'on' time of an electromagnetic clutch provided between a motor and a steering system in a motor-driven power steer ing control device.
CONSTITUTION: When the specified time elapses after the average value of steering torque becomes the maximum value, steering speed falls into zero. Accordingly, if the vehicle speed is the specified value or less at this time, an electromagnetic clutch 14 is coupled. At this time, a shock is not generated since both steering side and motor 13 side of the electromagnetic clutch 14 are in the static state.
